I was so excited when I got the email from this fave family of mine, seeing if I could fit in a last minute shoot. I was worried that timing may not work out (most of them were flying in the day before) or the weather would not be on our side (please picture me adjusting my windshield wipers faster and faster as I drove to our session).
(Important side note… This family and I have quite a ‘rain’ history…we shot during one of Vancouver’s worst rain storms last Fall…outside…in a park. When they said they were ok to shoot rain or shine, they were not kidding. Not even a bit. It was awesome!)
So really, I wasn’t too concerned because I knew this family could handle anything! We didn’t have to worry though…the location was changed last minute to better our chances of a dry session, the little monkeys were warm, full of giggles and looking so handsome…and the rain held off until we were done! Epic day.
I felt really special being a part of this shoot. It’s so easy to let schedules and distance (provinces!) get in the way of family time, so the fact that they had organized this family vacay and thought to do a photo shoot to capture this time together…amazing.
